Rev. Fr. Sebastian John Ph.D, a member in the religious order of Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI) is an Assistant Professor in the department of English at Sacred Heart College (autonomous), Thevara. Soon after having completed his M.Phil in Madras Christian College, Chennai he pursued his doctoral program in Presidency College, Chennai. He joined the department of English in 2019. Currently, apart from academics, he has also taken up the responsibility to serve the college as a bursar.

He has published his articles titled A Phenomenological Understanding of Poetic Definitions of William Wordsworth and T.S Eliot in ROOTS: International Journal of Multidisciplinary Researches (ISSN: 2349-8684) and A Deconstructive Reading of Frantz Kafka’s The Castle in IJARRAS: International Journal of Advanced Research in Arts and Science (ISSN: 2349-3380). His doctornal research is highly appreciated as he has sabotaged the general/traditional notion of SAMUEL BECKET as an absurd playwright and established the fact that he is no more absurd. His philosophical mind as well as logical thinking inspires him to read the unread realities of life.
